Charlie Faber, the greatest lead off hitter ever, draws a walk! T.R. Hunter pokes a hit to center! Fernando Tello flies out to deep center and Faber tags up and heads to 3rd. The throw by Pete Thompson is into the dugout and Faber scores! 1 to 0, Jays! Ray McDonald strikes out................. Jack Washburn swings at the first pitch and flies out to deep center.

Ted Mason takes a 3-2 pitch for strike three! Tom Howard grounds one to 3rd, where Fernando Tello is, and I hold my breath, but Tello makes the play! Herman Chance flies out to deep left! 1-2-3!

With one out, Ted Mason grounds one to 3rd and Fernando Tello boots it.... A wild pitch sends Mason to 2nd and and P Jim Baucom balks him to 3rd.... Tom Howard doubles to right and Mason scores... Tie Game: 1 to 1. The next two make outs.

With 1 out (Ray McDonald), Jack Washburn takes a 3-2 pitch for ball 4. Gary McKellar is up and is a big GDP threat, but Washburn does not run..... he does til have the bruised shin. McKellar walks on 4 pitches! With 2 outs, Don Kern launches the first pitch over the left field fence!!! 5 to 2, Jays! Tom McDowell grounds a hit up the middle! But Charlie Faber strikes out...

With 2 outs, Pete Thompson lines a 3-2 pitch to right for a hit. PH Ernie Patterson (24-R), 1 for 4 with a run yesterday, pokes a hit to left.... The Bullpen gets up. Ted Mason swings at the first pitch and grounds a hit to left and the bases are loaded, all after getting the first two batters out.... Tom Howard, the winning run and a long ball threat with 75 HR in his career, drives one to deep left, but Danny Rosas runs it down and THIS Ball Game Belongs to the Jays!
