April 4 - RF Ed Yeager (29-L) of Ottawa hit a 2-run home run at home versus Hartford to extend hit hitting streak from last season to 20 games.
April 5 - Benedict Hughes (25-L) of Rochester pitched a 3 hit shutout at Columbus, He walked 1, hit a batter and struck out 5. At bat, he had a hit and an RBI. It is the 3rd shutout of his career. The Roosters won, 6 to 0.
April 5 - C Joe Tomlinson (30-R) of Ottawa hit a double and a Grand Slam and had 5 RBI at home versus Hartford. It is the 6th Grand Slam of his career. No one else in the MLB has more than 3. RF Ed Yeager (29-L) went 0 for 4 to end his carryover hitting streak at 20 games. The Otters won, 6 to 1.
April 6 - Richmond lost their #2 starter, Greg Sinclair (27-R) for the season with a torn rotator cuff. We is 40-44 with a 3.84 ERA in his career.
April 8 - C Mark Scott (29-R) of Rochester had 3 hits with a home run and a walk, scored 3 runs and had 4 RBI at Charlotte. The Roosters won, 9 to 4. RF Rob Worms (32-R), the ex-Jay started his 2nd game for the Hornets and hit his 2nd home run.
April 9 - Orlando Lost P Manny Martinez (33-R), the ex-Jay, for probably the rest of the season with shoulder inflammation. He might be back in late September.
