Im new here so I cant really elaborate but I've played Strat for decades and I like it a lot. I like OOTP a lot as well and also view them as very different.
someone mentioned this forum is a big factor in the appeal of the game. Strat has a forum as well but it actually is a pretty big negative in my opinion. Its run by a guy who really is on a power trip == like on steroids. He gets a kick out of banning people who say things he doesn't like . FULL DISCLOSURE I was banned. Why? Apparently because I said something bad about the Dallas Cowboys in a general sports discussion that he didn't like and he is a big Cowboys fan. And IIRC it was in response to a comment he made, but it was a long time ago.
The Company lets this go on because they claim no relationship with the site but that is suspect in my opinion. A lot of information is funneled to the site (or it was at the time) and I believe the guys who run the site were game testers. Bottom line if you but the game - and I like it -- you either have to put up with that aspect of the product or forego it.
