as much as ootpb can frustrate me, it has way more potential to quickly implement upgrades and you can play any year!
i couple ootpb with YT classic baseball on radio and twitter old time baseball photos to get my fill of baseball without the need to watch current baseball and love it
You should have a look at Wolverines Studios, Basketball and Football manager games, both College and Pro. Only a 2d playing field and very rudamental, but they have detail in the manager sections for sure. Mods helps one play historical season in the Pro versions. They keep improving but still have miles to get anything close to OOTP.
