THEODORE AND JOLIET TRIUMPH IN NI PREMIER OPENERS
Sunday afternoon two champions kicked off the new North Island Premier League in regal fashion... last year's NI First Division king New Yerby met last year's NI Second Division king Theodore in the 1954 season opener and it was the newcomer that came away with a victory... the Theodore Bobcats blistered the New Yerby Yankees 8-3 at Bobcat Field... in other action it was the Joliet Green Giants thumping the Dutton Coyotes at Joliet Stadium 8-4.
