Jose Ramirez and Jose Segura both hit their 46th home run of the season and St. Louis wrapped up their regular season with a 7-5 win over Madison at Busch Stadium (1997).
The victory completed a three-game sweep for the National League South Division champion River Walkers. St. Louis also will own home-field advantage over Twin Cities in the NL championship series via owning a one-game edge in regular-season wins.
A pair of runs in the bottom of the second -- including a lead-off homer from Jean Carmona off Muskies starter Brian Rose -- saw St. Louis grab an early 2-0 lead.
That lead evaporated in the top of the third when Madison tallied three times against Walkers rookie starter Jesse McNaboe.
With literally everything wrapped up, St. Louis called up McNaboe up from AAA Memphis to make the start.
Yan C. Dixon had a two-run double in the top of the third for the Muskies.
Nick Senzel scored the third run with a single.
The Walkers regained the lead in the bottom of the fourth, when Ramirez launched a two-run bomb off Rose.
Madison rallied to retake the lead in the top of the seventh with two runs off Travis Krogman.
Pinch-hitter Steve Mann drove in both runs with a single.
But the Walkers charged back in front in the bottom of the seventh.
Pinch-hitter Alek Thomas drove in the first run with a single off Daniel Johnson.
Segura then knocked one over the wall to make it 7-5.
McNaboe lasted just 3.1 innings, before exiting due to back spasms.
He allowed three runs on three hits. He struck out three and walked one.
Ricky Cisneros finished off the fourth .
Ron Peterson kept the Muskies off the board in the fifth and sixth.
Krogman (7-2) had a bad seventh but came out of the game with the win.
Zach Evers pitched a scoreless eighth.
Ernesto Barbosa earned his 32nd save in the ninth.
