Jack Brown (W 6-6) went 8 innings, gave us 2 runs (1 earned), 4 hits, 1 walk and struck out 9.
RHP Miguel Tejeda (SV 15) pitched a perfect 9th with 1 strikeout. 5 pitches.

SS Bart Daw hit a double and had an RBI.

For Charlotte, LF Terry Graham had 3 hits with his 23rd home run of the season, scored 2 runs and had 2 RBI.

The Hornets announced that SS Bruce McArthur, injured during the game, had hamstring soreness that they expected to take 5 or 6 days to heal up.
