The Grand Rapids Traders exploded for five runs in the bottom of the eighth -- highlighted by a three-run homer by Matt Crawl -- to pave the way for a 7-5 win over Columbus on Sept. 24, and clinched the American League West Division title for the Traders.
Grand Rapids sits at 90-66 with seven games in front of second-place Fort Worth with six games to go.
It is the fourth division title for the Traders, but their first since 2023.
Grand Rapids has never advanced to the World Series.
