Junior Danielson doubles to left! With 1 out, Cal Doty lines a hit to left and Danielson scores! 3 to 0, Jays! Doty gets caught stealing....

Del Warwick (W 9-7) pitched 9 shutout innings (CG), allowed 6 hits, 1 walk and stuck out 8. 120 pitches. At bat, he had a hit. His 4th shutout of the season and 10th of his career!

Tom Peterson (L 12-8) went 6 innings, gave us 5 runs (3 earned), 10 hits, 1 home run, no walks and struck out 2.

SS/2B Junior Danielson hit a double and scored a run. CF/LF Cal Doty had 2 hits and an RBI. LF/RF Ray McDonald had 2 hits with his 19th home run of the season and had 2 RBI. 3B Tom McDowell hit a double and scored a run. RF Fernando Tello hit a double and scored a run. C Bert Swope had 2 hits with a double and an RBI.

For Syracuse, 2B Frank Bates had 3 hits and stole a base.
