Real World Quickstart
So first off, I only play realistic sims. I don't do "Historic sims", "fantasy sims", or any other variation of the two. I usually set all settings to as real as possible and pick a team to run as the GM. I call it the "THEO EPSTEIN SIM". I take different teams and try and make dynasties.
During my sims I play with ALL available leagues and keep posting rules on.
-Indy leagues (I put the buy out to $1M, instead of $250k)
-Asian leagues (leave posting system on, increase values depending on the league)
-Mexican & Cuban leagues (I allow cubans to leave to other leagues)
-Arizona Fall league (must have)
-WBC (add 12-16 more countries and expand playoffs)
-MiLB (considering eliminating real teams to be axed)
It brings me to the question of this post. I always feel like I am leaving something out realism wise. It is the draft. So I am creating a feeder system. What is the correct number of teams in each level of the feeder? I am thinking:
- 40to60 NCAA teams
- 24 Jucos
- 30 team/5 leagues of HS teams.
This allows for a good depth in the draft with real stats.
What should I change, or what have you done to make the most realistic experience?
I failed to mention that I downloaded all graphics for all North American League teams and upload them to each team. I have also done it with all NCAA teams that I use (SEC,PAC,B10,B12)
What are some things that you guys do?
