July 15 - Raymound Hogan (27-R) of Indianapolis pitched a 4 hit shutout at Louisville. He walked 2 and struck out 6. At bat, he had a walk and a SF. It is his 1st shutout of the season and the 2nd of his career. He is now 10-6 with a 4.21 ERA in 19 starts. The Arrows won, 1 to 0, and only had 4 hits themselves.
July 15 - Charlie Foltz (30-R) of Memphis pitched a 5 hit shutout at home versus Syracuse. He walked 2 and struck out 7. At bat, he had a hit and scored a run. It is his 1st shutout of the season and 6th of his career. He is now 4-7 with a 3.77 ERA in 19 starts. The Mules won, 3 to 0.
July 16 - SS Stan Stephens (26-R) of Birmingham had 4 hits with a Grand Slam, stole a base and scored 2 runs at Hartford. The Barons won, 12 to 3.
July 16 - RF Glen Lewis (23-L) of Rochester, the ex-Jay, had 4 hits with a Grand Slam, stole a base, scored 2 runs and had 6 RBI at New Orleans. The Roosters won, 7 to 2.
July 17 - 1B Nestor Gonzalez (30-L) of Memphis went 3 for 3 with 2 home runs and a walk and 5 RBI at home versus Syracuse, but the Mules lost, 9 to 6.
