Won - 8 to 0

We had 17 hits, a new season high (though they were all singles), and made 1 error
Louisville had 6 hits and made 2 errors

Mike Marsh (W 6-1) pitched 9 shutout innings (CG), allowed 6 hits, 5 walks and struck out 4. 154 pitches. It is the 2nd most pitches ever thrown by a Jay pitcher. In 2001, Tom Betke (remember him? Me neither) threw 160 in a vain attempt at a shutout. He gave up 1 run in 8.2 innings and 7 hits and 8 walks with 4 strikeouts. He finished 2001 2-6 with a 7.71 ERA and then was traded to Charlotte for RP Tug Jackson. He is still pitching in A Ball for the Hornets, but is 0-1 with a 9.64 ERA in 3 starts this season as a 29 year old. Marsh loaded the bases up in the 9th, but wiggled out! At bat, he had a hit and an RBI.

Ken DeWaters (L 7-6) went 2.2 innings, gave us 5 runs, 7 hits, no walks and struck out no one.
