We are in Louisville to play the Colonels a short 2 game set. They just won a pair of games here against New Orleans and have won 5 in a row, including 3 against the defending champion Sycamores. We are 3-1 against them on the season and won a pair of games the first time we visited. They are 13th in scoring with 3.76 runs per game (Jacksonville is down to #7 with 4.12). The Colonels are 6th in fewest runs allowed with 3.74 per game (Jacksonville is down to #2 with 3.33). Their run differential is +2 and ours is +60, now tied for 2nd best with Columbus, behind Buffalo (+109).

Jacksonville Jays (49-27 .645 3.5 GA in 1st place in the Southern Division) at
Louisville Colonels (40-36 .526 9 GB in 3rd place in the Southern Division)

LOU: Melvin Brisita (23-R) (3-6 3.01 ERA 74.2 IP, 62 H, 6 HR, 28 BB, 53 SO)

Gilchrist gave up 5 runs on 6 hits and 4 walks with 5 strikeouts in 5 innings last time out in a loss.

Brisita was 6-3 in 12 starts and 82.2 IP last year with a 2.07 ERA as a rookie. We faced him once and he beat us, giving us 2 runs on 7 hits and 6 walks with 2 strikeouts in 8 innings.
