Jim Baucom (W 14-0) pitched 9 shutout innings (CG), allowed 6 hits, no walks and struck out 9. 106 pitches. His MLB leading 5th shutout of the season and 14th of his career! No one else int he MLB has more than 3 this season!
Dennis Farmer (L 5-2) went 5 innings, gave us 4 runs, 4 hits, 1 home run, 5 walks and struck out 5. He threw a WP. 103 pitches. At bat, he had a hit.
2B Charlie Faber had 4 hits, scored a run and had 2 RBI. RF Fernando Tello had a hit and a walk and scored a run. CF Cal Doty hit a double, drew a walk, stole a base and scored a run. LF/RF Ray McDonald hit 2 home runs and had 5 RBI. He now has 10 home run on the season and 5 in the last 4 games. SS Frank Roadman had a hits and a walk and scored 2 runs.
The Pelicans announced that RP Rudy Norwood had forearm tendinitis and they expected him to be out about a week. They will not put him on the DL.
