May 31 - Mike Gaddis (35-R) of Indianapolis, the ex-Jay, pitched a 5 hit shutout at home versus New Orleans. He walked 1 and struck out 6. At bat, he hit a home run. It is the first shutout and home run of his career. He is now 2-2 with a 2.53 ERA in 4 starts. The Arrows won, 3 to 0, and only had 5 hits themselves.
May 31 - Tom Peterson (33-R) of Syracuse pitched a 5 hit shutout at home versus Richmond. He walked 1 and struck out 4. It is his 3rd shutout of the season and 15th of his career, the most of any pitcher. He is now 5-4 with a 2.07 ERA in 12 starts. The Sycamores won, 4 to 0.
June 1 - Dave Whipple (29-R) of Memphis pitched a 1 hit shutout at home versus Providence. He did not walk a batter and struck out 5. 85 pitches thrown. At bat, he had a hit and scored a run. The lone hit was a 1-out double in the 3rd. It is the 1st shutout of his career. He is now 3-2 with a 4.66 ERA in 6 starts. The Mules won, 3 to 0.
June 2 - Rookie LF Cecil Barrett (27-R), in his 3rd game of the season, had 3 hits with a double and a Grand Slam, stole a base and had 6 RBI at home versus Richmond. The Sycamores won, 8 to 1.
June 3 - P Mark Manley (31-R) of Indianapolis did not pitch such a great game, but went 4 for 4 at the plate, scored a run and had 5 RBI at home versus New Orleans. The Arrows won, 13 to 5.
June 3 - Darrell Carraway (36-R) of Memphis pitched a 4 hit shutout at home versus Providence. He walked 1 and struck out 4. It is the 2nd shutout of his career. He is now 3-4 with a 2.43 ERA in 11 starts. The Mules won, 3 to 0.
June 4 - Steve Cron (30-L) of Buffalo pitched a 4 hit shutout at home versus Columbus. He did not walk a batter and struck out 3. It is his 3rd shutout of the season and 13th of his career. He is now 8-5 with a 2.56 ERA in 13 starts. The Bombers won, 3 to 0.
June 4 - Yui Ogawa (29-L) of Indianapolis pitched a 4 hit shutout at home versus Providence. He did not walk a batter, but hit one and struck out 5. At bat, he had a hit, scored a run and had an RBI. It is his 1st shutout of the season and 6th of his career. He is now 3-7 with a 4.44 ERA in 13 starts. The Arrows won, 9 to 0.
June 4 - 1B Vince Depew (23-L) of Richmond hit a double and 2 home runs, drew a walk, scored 3 runs and had 3 RBI at Birmingham. The Robins won, 6 to 1.
June 4 - Dave Gray (34-R) of Memphis pitched a 2 hit shutout at New Orleans. he did not walk a batter, but hit one and struck out 6. It is his 1st shutout of the season and 8th of his career. He is now 3-4 with a 3.07 ERA in 12 starts. The Mules won, 4 to 0.
June 5 - SS Dave Behm (27-R) of Ottawa came up a single short of a Cycle, scored 3 runs and had 4 RBI at Hartford. The Otters won, 8 to 6.
