2. Caracas Toros trade John Denny to Anchorage Bears for Reggie Willits. Anchorage needs pitching depth to stay in AL West race

3. Hartford Rocketmen trade Hal Haydel to San Juan Storm for Louis Sockalexis. Sockalexis went from being a cleanup hitter in San Juan to the minors in one year, Hartford hoping to get a bat in their lineup

4. Pete Compton (Nashville Judges) slams 3 homers against the Oakland Athletics

5. Rogers Hornsby (Oakland Athletics) picks up 5 hits in a game against the Nashville Judges

6. Newark Thieves trade Ray Kremer to Los Angeles Dodgers for Bob Logan

7. Delaware Big Train trade John Mayberry Jr to the Buffalo Bisons for Steve Brye
