True. But if the question is "is it probable that a no-money team will reach those same heights? Absolutely not. Even if we generously say that 20% of players spend a meaningful amount of cash on the game, well, there are roughly 25.5K players. This means that 20,400 of those players spend very little or nothing at all (aside from the cost of the base game). I mean, I don't follow PL too closely (I'm never getting there!), how many of those 20,400 make it to PL? How many even have decent success at diamond? The percentage would be staggeringly small.

There is a path to winning without paying money, but you do end up spending something--time. A whole lot of time. Learn the market, spend time waiting for perfect opportunities to flip cards, that sort of thing. Or spend your life keeping your tournament entries maxed out. Or spend time on your knees praying that you get 2 FotF Madduxes in five packs so you get a shot in the arm of PP.

Basically, I'm okay with not being able to "be the best" here. Yes, there's strategy, and I work on that. There's also a whole lot of luck. And no offense meant to those who have a lot of cash in this game, but I perceive spending thousands as nothing more than being in a @#$&-swinging contest, and I don't see that as fun.
