McCullough is making his MLB debut today. He was a 7th round pick in this year's B Leagues Draft. He is too old to be ranked in the prospect list.
Coreano pitched a 5 hit shutout in his season debut at Buffalo, the easiest place to hit in the MLB. He faced Syracuse once last year and shut them out for 6 innings on 2 hits a 5 walks and struck out 5, but threw 110 pitches and could not complete the game.

John Byers pokes a hit to center... Byers tries to steal 2nd, but C Garrett Bender throws him out! Frank Bates, who hit a home run earlier, is walked intentionally to face Mitch Kahmann, who has hit 2 home runs.... Kahmann swings at a 3-2 pitch and misses!

With 1 out, Charlie LaRue doubles to center... The Bullpen is up. Octavio Garcia lines a hit to right. Jim Beard grounds into a force at 2nd, 1-6, and LaRue holds at 3rd. And SS Bart Daw is hurt.... He is one guy we cannot afford to lose.... Charlie Faber moves to short and Junior Danielson (32-R) is in to play 2nd. PH Don Bruns (34-R), who is 0 for 5 with an RBI this series, is sent up. Trudy's report on Bart Daw is sprained knee that will hamper him for 2 to 3 weeks... He could play through it, but we cannot risk him going out for the season. Plus, his main asset is his fielding and this would hamper it, I am sure. So, we will put him on the DL. Sucks, because he was off to a monster start as a hitter with a 1.042 OPS....
