SP Nolan Ryan was activated from the IL. He has a solid outing (6.2 innings, 8 hits, 2 walks, 4 strikeouts) in a win against the Mets. But ends up back on the DL. This one looks more serious.
NOTE: This is an IRL injury for Ryan.
David Nied was sent to AAA to open a spot for Ryan. Darren Holmes was called up to replace Ryan.
Pedro Astacio hurt his ankle in his start and was pulled after 4 innings. It's unclear whether he'll make his next start.
SP Pedro Martinez was put on the minor league IL as a precaution after some arm soreness.
