Bob Marks and Rick Halverson lead off with back to back hits... With 1 out, Marks steals 3rd... Bob Marcuson strikes out looking! P Paul Gaughan clears the bases with a double grounded over the 3rd base bag.... 3 to 0, Barons. Stab Stephens grounds a hit up the middle and P Gaughan scores... 4 to 0, Barons.

New Pitcher: Al Calice (22-R), making his Major League debut. Sergio Acevedo lines a hit to left... Bob Marks takes a 3-2 pitch for ball 4... The Bullpen gets up. Rick Halverson lines one hard to left, but Cal Doty makes a great catch! Dave Jay grounds into a 5-4-3 double play!!

Top of the Seventh:
With 1 out, P Paul Gaughan grounds a up the middle Stan Stephens grounds a hit up the middle... The Bullpen gets back up. Ken Kelly takes a 3-2 pitch for ball 4 to load the bases up with 1 out. Jim Montgomery flies out to right and P Gaughan holds at 3rd. Sergio Acevedo swings at the first pitch and lines out to right!

Jim Baucom (L 13-9) went 5 innings, allowed 4 runs (3 earned), 5 hits, no walks and struck out 4. 5 hits an no walk, but 4 runs allowed... His 4th loss in a row.
RHP Al Calice, in his Major League debut, went 3 innings, allowed 1 run, 4 hits, 1 home run, 2 walks and struck out 2.
RHP Roger Wallace went 1 scoreless inning, allowed 1 hit and struck out 1.

Paul Gaughan (W 12-10) pitched 9 shutout innings (CG), gave us 5 hits, 1 walk and struck out 5. He threw a WP. 127 pitches. At bat, he had 2 hits with a double, scored a run and had 2 RBI.

2B Junior Danielson had a hit and a walk. 1B Jack Washburn had 2 hits with a double. CF Danny Stewart had 2 hits. That is all of our base runners accounted for. They were spread out just enough so as to not assist one another. The rest of the team was 0 for 22 with no walks.
