I'm willing to trust Markus as he said
"In fact, Andreas and I will have much more time to focus on design and development work than before" and "OOTP as a studio will remain independent and we will of course continue to listen to you".

After 20 years of making a great game i think he has earned the trust
of choosing the best future for the game he created. I just don't think he would give up control unless he felt totally comfortable with the arrangement.
At this point i see no reason to doubt and trust that ootp will get better.
I know that some believe the game as run its course and yet we still have suggestions for future versions. The ballpark builder was just getting started.
I'm just not ready to throw in the towel on the future of ootp.
