#10 Egret 2 vs #7 Salem 3
The Ninjas and Witch Hats engaged in a pitcher's duel with the Hats' Josh Hugs coming out on top in a 135-pitch effort. Hugs allowed two earned runs on two hits with three walks and nine strikeouts in 8.0 innings to earn the victory. Dan Beantown pitched a scoreless 9th for the save. Egret's Nick Poppa allowed three runs, two earned, on eight hits with two walks and seven strikeouts in 7.0 innings. RF Chris Treestump drove in two runs for the victorious Salem squad.

The Deathclaws pulled off the first major upset of the tournament, shutting out the 2297 runners up. William Radwater pitched 8.2 shutout innings, allowing eight hits and striking out five. The game at the Party Boys' home stadium had a long radstorm delay, making a late finish to Day 2. 1B Jeremy Nicholson drove in two runs for the Deatchclaws. Tomas Jones and Mike Swift combined for seven of the Boys' eight hits. Two of Jones' four hits were two-out doubles representing the only two times in the game Nordhagen Beach was in scoring position.
#5 Warwick 2 vs #4 Lexington 7
Lexington SS Swift Hendrix was 4 for 5 with a double and three RBI. The Synths had five doubles combined of their 14 total hits. Warwick LF Patty Cuttooth was their best hitter, going 3 for 4 with a double, the Mirelurks' only extra-base hit, a walk, a run, and an RBI.
BATTLE FOR THE SOUTH TOURNAMENT
#11 Concord 7 vs #6 Sunshine Tidings 4
The Radstags scored four in the top of the 1st and led the entire game to pull off the upset of their league rivals. Gwinnett Southie earned the Game MVP, allowing three earned runs on 10 hits with a walk and two strikeouts in 8.0 innings. 2B Josh McIntyre drove in four runs for Concord, including a two-out, two-RBI double in the 1st to put his team up 2-0. RF David Stahl then followed up with a two-run home run in the 1st.
#9 Finch Farm 5 at #1 Oberland 8
CF B.J. Perez hit a three-run home run, and RF Bloatfly Williams was 3 for 5 with two runs and two RBI to lead the defending champions to an opening-game win. The Leafs' Alec Bullets drove in two runs.
#5 Easy Town 4 vs #4 Goodneighbor 5, 11 inn.
Good Don Duck led off the bottom of the 11th on a double. After moving to third base on a tag up, Duck scored when Easy Town reliever Aaron Geneva threw a two-out wild pitch, giving the Hancocks the victory. 1B Bryan Assman led the Hancocks, going 2 for 3 with a home run, three walks, a run, and two RBI. Duck doubled three times and went 4 for 6. The Assaultrons led 4-0 heading into the bottom of the 4th before Goodneighbor began its comeback.
