We sent 1B Jack Washburn (21-L) to Daytona (A) for more seasoning and called up C Jim Hess (33-R).

The Birmingham Barons are here to play a short 2 game set. They won 2 of 3 against New Orleans at home over the weekend. We are 5-4 against them on the season and split a pair of games the 1st time they visited us, May 26-27. They lead the League in scoring with 4.69 runs per game (Jacksonville up to #14 with 3.71).
