July 21 - Bob Stephens (26-R) of Charlotte pitched a 4 hit shutout at Ottawa. He walked 4, hit a batter and struck out 3. It is his 2nd shutout of the season. He is now 10-5 with a 2.47 ERA in 18 starts. The Hornets won, 1 to 0.
July 21 - Robin Morris (29-R) of Memphis pitched a 4 hit shutout at Syracuse. He walked 2, hit a batter and struck out 8. At bat, he had a hit.It is his 2nd shutout of the season. He is now 5-1 with 2 SV and a 2.65 ERA in 6 starts (18 G). The Mules won, 1 to 0.

It is his 2nd shutout of the season. He is now 7-5 with a 2.05 ERA in 18 starts. The Barons won, 3 to 0, and only had 5 hits themselves.
July 23 - CF Mike Fox (24-L) of Hartford had 3 hits with a home run, scored 2 runs and had 5 RBI at home versus Richmond. The Whalers won, 11 to 4.
July 23 - Rick Potts (24-R) of Memphis pitched a 3 hit shutout at Syracuse. He walked 1, hit a batter and struck out 7. He is now tied for the MLB lead with 5 shutouts. He has not allowed a run in his last 4 starts. 3 CG shutouts and a game where he had to leave early with an injury. 9 total hits allowed in those 4 games. He is now 9-1 with a 2.01 ERA in 16 starts. The Mules won, 2 to 0.
