Louisville Grays (25-14) at Chicago White Stockings (24-14)
It's another game between the top two clubs, who are separated by a mere half-game in the standings. After today, there will be only four games left between the clubs - all at the end of the season. This is a big chance for both clubs.
It turns out to be a close one, with Ezra Sutton's leadoff triple in the eighth inning helping Louisville turn a 3-3 tie into a 6-3 lead. Chicago was let down by usually-reliable Levi Meyerle, who came up numerous times with men on base but got no hits in the game.
