For the fourth straight season there is a different team winning the North Island Recreational League First Division championship... this year it's the New Yerby Yankees, who cinched their first-ever pennant... with one game to play next weekend, the Yanks enjoy a three-game lead over the second place Joliet Green Giants and the Stockdale Mustangs... New Yerby whipped the Wafford Eagles 7-1 to nail down the pennant... Jackson trimmed Joliet 6-3 and Stockdale dumped Dutton 8-5.
