I want to start a league in the late 1990s or early 2000s, but modify the setup to be as if there had never been expansion in the 1990s (AL/NL, 2 divisions each, no wild cards). I also want to use historical transactions.

My assumption is this will still work, I simply won't have the stats within my game for players during the years they played for ARI, COL, TB or MIA. In other words, if you took a player that was with, say, the Tigers in 2000 but he went to the Marlins in real life for 2001 before landing back with the Tigers for 2002 - the game would have him on the Tigers for 2000, he would just not be a part of the game in 2001, and then he'd show up in Detroit at the start of the 2002 season, with no stats from 2001.

Anyone know enough to confirm this?
