There were three trades following the draft, with one big-time player passed on to another team.
The Slog Ghouls addressed a concern today, coming to terms with the Sunshine Tidings Chemists on a trade that will send 17-year-old minor league SS Surprise Mulligan, 20-year-old minor league LHP Jamie Collins and 19-year-old 1st-round draft pick RHP Mike Koenig from the Ghouls to the Chemists in exchange for 18-year-old minor league C Asa Werber and 33-year-old CL Tiny Greene.
In 27 appearances in 2297, Greene was 2-3 with a 2.57 ERA. He allowed eight earned runs on 26 hits with 16walks and 40 strikeouts. He saved 11 games for the Chemists. Greene was Sunshine Tidings' 2nd-round pick in the 2296 Inaugural Draft.
The Jamaica Plain Red Rockets have reached a deal with Quincy, sending 19-year-old 3rd-round pick RHP Grinder Smith to the Gunners in exchange for 19-year-old minor league SS Roger Chillingworth.
Finch Farm announced today a trade with County Crossing that will send 19-year-old minor league RF Jim White to the Bloodbugs in exchange for 19-year-old 4th-round pick CF Walton Johnson.
