Louisville Colonels (60-83 .420 22 GB in 7th place in the Southern Division) at
Jacksonville Jays (61-81 .430 20.5 GB in 6th place in the Southern Division)

LOU: Bruce Conway (32-L) (4-7 5.23 ERA 103.1 IP, 114 H, 14 HR, 31 BB, 44 SO) vs.
JAX: Dale Gilchrist (24-R) (8-8 3.36 ERA 163.1 IP, 142 H, 10 HR, 75 BB, 97 SO) Rookie

Conway was 9-2 with a 2.61 ERA in 14 starts and 103.1 IP last year as a rookie. He was 2-0 in 3 starts against us with 2 CG, 1 shutout and a 2.19 ERA. 24.2 IP, 22 H, 1 HR, 0 BB, 5 SO. We have not faced him this season, which is probably why his record is much worse...

Gilchrist is 0-4 in his last 9 starts. He gave up 3 runs on 3 hits and 6 walks with 1 strikeout in 6.2 innings last time out in a loss.
