Started a 'normal' season from the OOTP Start Screen (on the latest patch) with a March start, not the 'Live Start' or 60-game season and found a number of players missing from their March teams. For instance, the Cardinals released 33 players on May 27th. Those players are for the most part free agents with Player History entries as having been released May 27. I could list those but didn't want to clutter. Catcher Oscar Hernandez starts in the Royals organization.
Akeem Bostic shows in the game as retired. Released by Cardinals on 3/30.
A few other players released on 3/30 show as free agents.
Game start date is 3/24.
Going through the first page of free agents showed a few players as free agents without a note in history as to having been released, etc.
