JOLIET JOLTS YANKS IN NIRL FIRST DIVISON
Runner-up Joliet and Dutton are clinging close to first place New Yerby in the North Island First Division pennant race, but time is running out... only 3 games are left to be played and the Yankees have a two-game lead... both clubs gained on the league leader this weekend... Joliet jolted New Yerby 8-7... Dutton knocked off the Jackson Jackalopes 9-6 in extra innings... and the Stockdale Mustangs stomped the Wafford Eagles 12-4.
