Yesterday's finale of our series with Indianapolis was rained out and will be made up on July 24.

Yesterday was P Roger Wallace's 27th birthday!

We are in Louisville to play a short 2 game set. They were swept here in 4 games by Syracuse over the weekend and only scored 3 total runs. We are 5-2 against them on the season and won 2 of 3 the first time we were here, May 10-12. The Colonels are last in scoring with 3.47 runs per game (Jacksonville is #11 with 3.96). The are last in fewest runs allowed with 4.87 per game (Jacksonville is up to #4 with 3.70!). Their run differential is -105, the worst in the League and ours is +19, up to 5th best!

Jacksonville Jays (37-37 .500 5.5 GB tied for 4th place in the Southern Division) at
Louisville Colonels (31-44 .413 12 GB tied for 6th place in the Southern Division)

JAX: Danny Coreano (23-L) (4-7 4.00 ERA 81 IP, 91 H, 4 HR, 20 BB, 37 SO) Rookie vs.
LOU: Ken DeWaters (26-R) (6-6 4.04 ERA 98 IP, 106 H, 8 HR, 38 BB, 35 SO)

Coreano has won his last 3 starts. He gave up 3 runs (2 earned) on 7 hits and no walks with 3 strikeouts in 6 innings last time out.

Last year, DeWaters was 10-6 with a 3.20 ERA in 23 starts and 163.1 IP. He was 2-0 against us in 2 starts with a 1.80 ERA. 15 IP, 18 H, 1 HR, 3 BB, 7 SO. We have not faced him this season.
