I think the Google Doc is the best way. I can just have it open and edit as I go.
Would a spreadsheet be best? Three columns: Player name, correct id, incorrect id.
Not to throw a wrench in the plans, but I've also found two or three players who have a more recent (and better looking) fg file under their full name instead of their bbref minors id.
