New Orleans Pelicans (24-43 .358 15.5 GB in 8th (last) place in the Southern Division) at
Jacksonville Jays (34-34 .500 6 GB in 5th place in the Southern Division)

NO: Larry King (26-L) (1-0 0.00 ERA 10 IP, 1 H, 0 HR, 3 BB, 6 SO) Rookie vs.

Won - 4 to 3

Another 4 game sweep!

We had 10 hits and made 2 errors
New Orleans had 8 hits and made 2 errors

We set a new team record with double digit hits in 4 games in a row!

Jim Baucom went 6 innings, allowed 3 runs, 6 hits, 2 walks and struck out 3. He balked.
RHP Tug Jackson went 2 scoreless innings, allowed 1 hit, 1 walk (INT) and struck out 3.
RP Roger Wallace (W 4-1) went 1 scoreless inning and allowed 1 hit.

Larry King went 7 innings, gave us 2 runs (1 earned), 5 hits, 3 walks (1 INT) and struck out 6. At bat, he had a hit and an RBI and got caught stealing.
RHP Bucky Nicholson (L 3-5, BS 8) went 1.2 innings, gave us 2 runs, 5 hits and struck out 2.

CF Cal Doty had 3 hits and scored a run. 3B Marty Eades had a hit and a walk and knocked in the winning run. 1B Brian Porter had 3 hits with a double and scored a run. C Garrett Bender went 2 for 2 with 2 walks (1 INT) and had an RBI. That gives him 5 hits and 3 walks in his last 8 triples to the plate!

Trudy's report on Tug Jackson is a sore back and she thinks he'll be fine after a good night's sleep!
