After starting his career 0 for 22, P Danny Coreano doubles to left! He goes to 3rd on a ground out to 2nd by Cal Doty. Leander Gooding strikes out looking on 3 pitches... Brian Porter grounds out to the pitcher...

Bottom of the Sixth:
Marty Eades takes a 3-2 pitch for ball 4. Bert Swope grounds a double play ball to 2nd, but Fred Heff makes a bad throw to 2nd! With 1 out, Jack Washburn swings at the first pitch and lines a hit to right, but too hard for Eades to try for home and the bases are loaded. PH Glen Lewis (21-L) swings at a 2-2 pitch and doubles to center and 2 runs score!! 4 to 3, Jays! PH Tony Becerra (33-L) pops out to right and the runners hold. Cal Doty pokes a little hit to center and both runners score!! 6 to 3, Jays!

On the Hill: Gary Adamson (36-R), the ex-Jay, who we traded to them for a minor league backup catcher, after a perfect 7th. With 1 out, Mike Volkman swings at an 0-2 pitch and pops one foul behind the plate, but C Niel Williams drops it for an error. Given a second chance, Volkman doubles to left center! PH Rob Worms (29-R), who will stay in to play right, draws a walk. With 2 outs, 1B Tony Becerra grounds a hit to right and Volkman scores! 7 to 3, Jays!
