Game 1: The Rays came up just short in all phases of the game, dropping a 4-3 decision to the Blue Jays, who have suddenly won three straight against them after dropping 13 of the first 14 this season. The only offense came via the longball, on a pair of solo HRs by Wander (giving him 22) and #10 from Keibert Ruiz. They had some other baserunners, but hit into 2 double plays and had 2 runners thrown out attempting to steal by Toronto's Alejandro Kirk. Meanwhile Daniel Lynch gave up a 2-run shot in the first inning to Willie Calhoun, and then ran into some trouble in the 6th and Mitch Keller allowed one of his runners to score to tie the game. And then Keller served up a solo blast to dead center from Vlad Jr. in the 7th to provide the winning run. Will Smith had a 1-2-3 8th and Sandy Gaston likewise in the 9th but the offense couldn't get anything done against Simeon Woods Richardson and a couple of relievers.

Game 2: This game was effectively over in the first inning when the Rays jumped on Matt Wisler for 6 runs and cruised to an 8-3 win. Vidal Brujan led off the game for the Rays with a HBP and scored on a Wander Franco double, and then two batters later Rafael Devers hit a 3-run shot (#19) to make it 4-0. Seth Beer added a 2-run single later in the inning and it was plenty of run support for Asa Lacy. The lefthander was wild but unhittable over the first 5 innings, walking 3 but taking a no-hitter into the 6th. The pitches caught up to him that inning as a leadoff walk and 3 singles allowed a couple runs to score, and Ian Hamilton took over and got him out of the inning as Lacy finished 5.1 3 2 2 4 5 to go to 7-1. Hamilton had his own troubles in the 7th giving up a run but Will Smith took over and got 4 outs through the 8th and Sandy Gaston had a perfect 9th to finish it off. Nick Schnell added HR #15 in the 3rd and Brujan had an RBI single in the 8th to round out the scoring.

Game 3: The Rays closed out the season series with Toronto with a 6-1 win to go 15-4 against the Jays this year. Keston Hiura was the offensive star today as his triple in the second scored Nick Schnell before he scored on a Vidal Brujan single, and in the 6th he blasted a 3-run HR (#9) to make a 2-1 game 5-1. Alec Bohm hit #23 for the 6th Rays run. On the mound Tyler Glasnow wasn't quite as brilliant as his last time out (a 1-hit shutout) but overcame some early wildness to go 6 4 1 1 3 8 and improve to 12-3, 3.25. DL Hall pitched the final 3 innings going 3 2 0 0 1 5 to pick up his first Rays save and lower his ERA with the team to 0.61 in 14 2/3 innings.
