I think I have a pretty good idea, and a sound system for creating "modern versions" of all players, using their actual stats compared to league average (the "+" stats), and then a good formula for converting to those stats into ratings, that are proportional to the game's ratings ... so that the game still plays as intended (as opposed to having everyone with all 90s and 80s as ratings).

I have much of that done already. That's the "fun part" (aside from all of the spreadsheet merging, proofing, checking for duplicates, and all that nonsense)

The players ratings will look much like player ratings in a typical MLB season, and I'll have everyone as a 20yo version off their "modern self" and let the alltime greats battle it out as the develop over their careers.

So, I have these ratings and stats in an excel spreadsheet ... but I'm unsure of how to get them into the game, while making sure all the id's are correct, so they match up with the facegens everyone has created, etc.

[1] Do I export the information from the game and into notepad (comma-delineated), and then edit that itself? Or copy excel ratings/stats into note pad and then copy and paste players, making sure the format is the same? Then import that back into the game?

[2] Do you import ratings or stats? (I have both)

[3] Or do I have to edit players in the game itself?

Those are my issues/questions. How do I get the information from the spreadsheets into the game itself? And what are the key issues I need to avoid?

Most of the work is already done.

Thanks in advance. I'll keep looking for "how to's" in regards on how to make a custom rosters, or a quick start.
