Keep in mind that last year's version of PL would be like mashing up the upper portions of Silver, Gold, Diamond, and Perfect all together into one massive league. You should get a better sense of the ladder here; I suspect you'll have no trouble getting to diamond, but you're going to hit a wall there (at least, that team listed wouldn't win most diamond divisions I think... well, maybe closer to 30-40%ish of them it'd have a shot). Good luck on your hunt, you have a lot of time and PP to shape your plan of attack before you arrive.

EDIT: As to the pitchers, really all the guys you listed are more considered pen pieces, though I've seen both SE Walter and Guidry in the rotation. But Dizzy is definitely a (very good) pen piece, not really a long term SP.
