Kyle Bidwell seems to be enjoying pitching for his new team this year, the Los Angeles Spinners, and in his third start for L.A., the team he no-hit in his final start of the 1977 regular season, he nearly got a no-hitter for L.A. when he shutout the San Francisco Velocity on just 1 hit, a 6th inning double of possible future Hall of Famer Josh Jenkins.
Bidwell's 1-hitter comes on the same day that Denver starter
Sekien Hamasaki went into the 7th inning in Phoenix with a no-hitter.
Hamasaki ended up giving up 2 hits over his 7 innings pitched in a Brewer victory.
