1929-30 NHL season
This season is the first time the Quebec Voyageurs have not made the playoffs in franchise history. The Rangers make the playoffs for the first time as well.
A new league scoring leader with Dan Siwak of the Toronto Marlboros takes the league lead, he was traded from Ottawa mid season allowing him to play 47 games instead of the regular 44.
Boutin still leads the league at age 40, shows no signs of slowing down.
