I think that, because I rambled on so much, you guys might have misunderstood what I was asking.
What's more important, the star rating or the skills ratings? Should I play a 5 star guy on the first line even though all his skills seem mundane compared to the 3.5 star player on the second line? Obviously, I have questions other questions as well, but that's really the gist of what I want to know. I would like to see one of those just get removed, or at least understand the reasoning for it.
I was also wondering about the % of skill rating that comes from stats. If it's set at the default 25%... and I have a 2 star player who has only 2 potential who I play on the top line and top power play, and he scores 100 points, is his star rating going up? What if this happens the next 3 years... is he still a 2 star player? What about his skills? Do they keep rising or falling or are the skills based, in part, on his star level? Are skills and stars completely separate entities, or do they somehow work together? So many questions, LOL.
