I've put the plans on hold for now. I'm so involved with my current universe as a GM and I'm 10 years deep into it, at the moment I have decided I'm going to see this one to completion. I've jotted some notes down here or there. I might even make the entire thing fictional as there is something appealing about not knowing a single thing about any player or team. I am so indecisive.

Whatever I do decide - whether it's a real MLB league with only other real leagues, or with a fictional league or two, or a completely fictional universe, I want to feel good about the framework so I don't have to make drastic changes. One thing that I think that I'd like about going entirely fictional is creating a lot of equality so players often jump from one league to another. I'm surprised how well it's working out so far in my current league and I wasn't even really trying to make it that way.

The other day, I was peeking through the 2nd lowest level in my current Universe. It's a 16 team fictional league that I've called the Association of Independent Baseball: California. The idea was to make other states part of the AIB, but I never did. Anyway, I'm peeking through the league stats and whatnot and who catches my eye? Rob Dibble. It's 1991 and Rob Dibble is pitching for the Riverside Kingsmen on a 1 year deal earning $30,600!! IRL, Rob Dibble was Co-MVP of the 1990 NLCS and a major part of the 1990 World Series champion Cincinnati Reds organization. He was one of the Nasty Boys for God's sake!! He played in the MLB for 6 seasons. Not in this Universe he didn't. In fact, he never made the big show after being drafted by the Chicago White Sox in 1982.

Who knows when I'll actually pull the trigger? It takes me forever to make decisions like this.
