Top of the Sixth:
Garrett Bender and Brian Porter lead off with back to back full count walks. Cal Doty beats out an infield hit and the bases are loaded with no outs. Junior Danielson lines a hit to right and Bender scores! 5 to 4, Jays! PH Bobby Scrogham (25-R) is sent up. They make a pitching change. New Pitcher: Dave Kelly (30-R), with a 5.68 ERA in 52.1 IP. Scrogham is pulled down and Dennis Brown (27-L) is sent up. He swings at a 3-2 pitch and misses.... Frank Roadman grounds a hit to left and 2 runs score!! 7 to 4, Jays! We pull off a double steal! New Pitcher: Roger Wallace (26-R). Dennis Brown stays in the game to play right. Danny Hutchinson walks on 4 pitches... PH Russ Baker (22-S), a rookie batting .335 with 7 HR and 31 RBI in 243 AB, beats out an infield hit. But the next three all make outs!

Top of the Eighth:
On the Hill: Mike Ballou (25-R), a rookie, after a scoreless 7th. With 1 out, Junior Danielson bloops a hit to right. Dennis Brown doubles to left center and Danielson scores from 1st! 8 to 4, Jays! Can it be? Will the losing streak end? Frank Roadman lines a hit to left. He steals 2nd. Joe Roberts lines out hard to right and Brown tags up and beats the throw home! 9 to 4, Jays! PH Bert Swope (29-S) (yes, I said PH Bert Swope) doubles to right and Roadman scores! 10 to 4, Jays! Tony Becerra grounds a hit to right. That does it for P Ballou. New Pitcher: Daniel Escarcega (30-R), with a 2.83 ERA in 47.2 IP. Garrett Bender lines a hit up the middle and Swope scores! 11 to 4, Jays! If we blow this lead, I am finding a bridge.... Though, I don't think Orlando has any.... We have lots of them in Jacksonville. I could go to Disney World; I am sure there is something good to jump off there...
