Kyle Bidwell, the 30-year old number 1 starter for the Portland Wild Things, might not have the most impressive record this year, but his 2.60 ERA is 2nd in the MGL, just ahead of Sadahige Kawasaki (2.62) and below Aaron McNally (2.42). It has been one of the best seasons in the career of the veteran sinker-ball pitcher and he capped it off by no-hitting the Los Angeles Spinners in his last start of the season. It is the first no-no in Bidwell's career and the second of the 1977 season in the WPK.
