SJL:
It should probably not surprise us that the mighty Columbus Whalers, winners of the past 2 Kinsella Classic Series, have now started to stretch out a bit of a lead in the up to now very tight Shoeless Joe League. Jacksonville and Pittsburgh can't be written off yet and even Boston could stage a miracle but everyone else is pretty much out of it and time is running out to catch those Whalers.
MGL:
And, similarly, I guess not a great surprise to see the Denver Brewers, also pretty mighty, start to pull away a bit from their only competition, the L.A. Spinners. Everyone else is mathematically eliminated in the Moonlight Graham League. Only real drama other than Denver and L.A. would be whether Brooklyn or Oklahoma City finish 3rd and just how many games Phoenix will lose.
