The San Francisco Velocity's veteran second baseman Josh Jenkins became just the second WPK player yet in league history to collect 2,500 career hits, joining the great Felix Lopez (who has 2,628 and counting). (It should probably be noted that Jenkins is the all-time career leader in stolen bases with 584 while Felix Lopez is second at 574.)
He did so in the second loss in a row for his team against the first place Denver Brewers, who have now stretched their lead in the MGL over the Los Angeles Spinners to 3 1/2 games.
