Just managed myself out of championship
Well, my St. Louis River Walkers just fell 4-2 in the 2028 World Series to the Fort Wayne Mad Men. (Named after Revolutionay War General Mad Anthony Wayne).
But the Mad Men may have had a little help from the GM/Manager of the Walkers (me).
When scouting Fort Wayne, it perplexed me how they had their rotation set for the series.
Based on scouting and stats, their Game 1 starter, the veteran of the staff, probably should have been their No. 4 along with a couple of other question marks.
So before each game, as the game always kept on trying to start who it felt should be its No. 1, I manually picked the starter based on what to me made the most sense.
And viola, I lose the series 4-2 with the Mad Men limiting me to a total to three runs (3-2 and 3-1) in Games 5 and 6 losses.
The game wanted Fort Wayne to go with a rotation of: 1, Chandler Champlain, Gil Meier, Isaiah Dunlap and Hugh Fisher.
I went with Dunlap (Games 1 and 6), Meier (Game 2 and 5), Fisher (Game 3) and Champlain (Game 4) .
Dunlap also pitched a thrd of an inning in a 5-4 18-inning win in Game 4, which caused him and Meier to flip/flop when it came to Games 5 and 6.
Anyway, see if I help out the AI again in a postseason series.
