NIRL FIRST DIVISION IS A FANS DELIGHT, GOOD AND TIGHT
It's a delightful season in the North Island Recreational League First Division this year... it's only two games from the top of the league to the bottom of the league... the first place New Yerby Yankees won 7 of their first 8 games, but have floundered since, dropping three games in a row... they have a one-game margin over second place Stockdale... the other four teams are just two games out in last place.
Jackson topped New Yerby this weekend 6-2... while Joliet jolted Stockdale 8-2... and the Dutton Coyotes rallied to whip the Wafford Eagles 5-3.
