You can narrow down the realism issue to trying to account for different eras. The players and their stats and eras are quite real, unlike orcs.
The orcs in PT are the cards that are based on an algorithm that never happened in any real season of baseball. They're "grown" quite like the Uruk-hai were.
And I think there's a clear understanding from LOTR that the Uruk-hai were the most prolific breeders among the orcs. No other tribe could match their virility. Polls of lady orcs always rated them as the most coveted mates.
