Default settings doesn’t necessarily mean BEST. Just the right balance that would fit a general audience. Hence why the default injury setting isn’t defaulted to high (realistic) by default for MLB QuickStart even though it better represents current MLB.
MLB quick start doesn’t even have the draft set to 40 rounds by default.
Setttings are there to create the environment you want.
